The concept of sculpture by Michael Sailstorfer is versatile. Sailstorfer creates an unexpected link between space and object through the integration of movement and performance. In his work "Raketenbaum" (2008) he combines concepts of Fluxus movement and happening, by questioning concepts such as duration and time. This idea is revisited in the edition "Raketenbaum 2F" (2020) which was exclusively in cooperation with FOCUS. A single one Tree is explosively torn from its roots and halts in a moment of seemingly weightlessness, to then return to its original state. The work is signed and numberd by the artist on the back.
