In celebration of Friedrich Kunath’s current exhibition “Sensitive Euro Man” at the KÖNIG GALERIE Nave, EDITION KÖNIG is happy to announce the new edition “I am easy to find”. Kunath wrote the work’s title on every print by hand. The unique editions, that have been produced in collaboration with ARTFLASH, will be available from September 10th.
Born in East Germany and based in Los Angeles, Friedrich Kunath is inspired by German Romanticism as well as by American pop culture. Dreamscape and reality, the sublime and the sordid, “Sunshine and Noir” are poles in between which his art develops in dialectic ways. Kunath studied at the University of Arts in Braunschweig, but soon set out to further explore his artistic journey abroad. Not bound by a specific genre, the artist uses his paintings as well as objects and installations to stage a various set of emotions, shifting between loneliness and desire, euphoria, and anxiety. The feeling of nostalgia and melancholia coexists with aspects of humor and the absurdity of the everyday life.
